Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bengt Strom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Miri Vanderbilt!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Donatello Bradman and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanderbilt darts in trying to clinch
and Strom decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Vanderbilt's guard.
Vanderbilt avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Strom stays in close to Vanderbilt's body and controls the position.
Vanderbilt trying to keep a closed guard but Strom is proving a slippery customer.
Vanderbilt working a defensive guard but Strom passes into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Strom slows the pace down in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Strom trying to pass the guard but Vanderbilt defending well.
Vanderbilt is trying to maintain the position but Strom is very close to passing his half guard.
Strom is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Strom winds up and cracks Vanderbilt with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Strom passes into side control, despite Vanderbilt's attempt to control the position.
Strom staying calm.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Strom scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Vanderbilt is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Strom can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!
