Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anders Kristiansen (ranked 1960 p4p, 2383 weight class) and Hank McCoy (ranked 258 p4p, 310 weight class). McCoy has chosen Monster as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anders Kristiansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hank McCoy!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Eddie Farnsworth and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kristiansen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from McCoy finds it's way round the side to connect with Kristiansen's head.
McCoy scores with a head kick. Kristiansen tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Kristiansen tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but McCoy defends well and Kristiansen ends up having to push McCoy into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

McCoy is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kristiansen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kristiansen shrugs it off.

McCoy is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kristiansen can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

McCoy is working for a guillotine from mount but Kristiansen frees his head quite easily.

Kristiansen goes for a double leg but McCoy avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McCoy continues to drive forward.

McCoy keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kristiansen's efforts to push away.

Nice straight punches there by McCoy. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of McCoy.

Kristiansen looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kristiansen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as McCoy sprawls well. McCoy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kristiansen gets slowly back to his feet.

Anders Kristiansen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
McCoy looks to land a combination but Kristiansen avoids it well.
Kristiansen half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
No joy there for Kristiansen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McCoy feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kristiansens jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
McCoy's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and McCoy duly obliges.
Hank McCoy seems to be getting the better of the standup.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McCoy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Kristiansen. That did some damage!
Kristiansen throws a low kick but McCoy avoids it.

A shot to the liver by McCoy. Beautiful body shot.
Kristiansen misses the jab.
Kristiansen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McCoy.
Kristiansen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McCoy as he jumps to the side.

Kristiansen does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
The fighters circle momentarily. McCoy darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

McCoy looks to land a left hand but Kristiansen moved out of range nicely.

Kristiansen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McCoy tries to avoid it but Kristiansen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McCoy to the ground. McCoy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McCoy feints and then cracks Kristiansen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kristiansen down.

Kristiansen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Horrible takedown attempt by Kristiansen or perhaps it was just good defense by McCoy, which made it look bad.

Kristiansen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Kristiansen is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
McCoy lands a big head kick that sends Kristiansen to the canvas! McCoy follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!

After the fight, Hank McCoy was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
