Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Max Chapman (ranked 2254 p4p, 2745 weight class) and Michal Sykora (ranked 133 p4p, 168 weight class). Chapman comes to the cage accompanied by Invincible - Pop Smoke. Max Chapman could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Michal Sykora's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Max Chapman! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michal Sykora! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sykora just misses with a punch to the body.
Sykora throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A looping hook to the body misses from Chapman. Sykora does a little dance to reset his feet. A momentary lapse in concentration from Sykora enables Chapman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sykora manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Sykora wants to get back to his feet but Chapman is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Chapman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sykora's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chapman seems to be working for a kimura but Sykora defends the submission attempt. Chapman sitting and controlling from the half guard. Sykora pushes Chapman off looking to stand but Chapman dives back in and keeps control.

Sykora is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Chapman tries to pass the half guard into mount. Sykora knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Sykora is trying to stand.
Sykora really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chapman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Chapman controlling the action here. Sykora tries to kick Chapman off but Chapman keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Chapman is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chapman shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Sykora sprawls well. Sykora wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chapman gets slowly back to his feet. Chapman looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Sykora looks to score with a jab to the body but Chapman is just out of range. Sykora looks to clinch and Chapman counters with a shoot takedown. Sykora fights it but they end up in guard. Chapman really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Chapman prevents Sykora from getting back to his feet. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sykora being controlled here, momentarily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sykora is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Chapman is controlling him. Chapman stands and throws Sykora's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sykora is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Chapman asserts his dominance and retains side control. Chapman decides to stand back up. Chapman steps back and let's Sykora get back to his feet. Sykora tries to clinch up but Chapman circles away and keeps his distance. Chapman misses with a kick to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Chapman circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sykora blocks the body kick.
Nice takedown defense from Sykora. No joy for Chapman on that attempt. Chapman blocks a head kick by Sykora.
The fight stays on the outside here - Sykora looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Sykora throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Sykora has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Chapman swats away the attempt to clinch by Sykora. Sykora throws a head kick that misses. Chapman drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sykora sprawls and moves away. Sykora misses with a head kick.
Chapman shoots in for a takedown but Sykora shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Chapman. That's going to take a lot out of him. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chapman swats away the attempt to clinch by Sykora. Sykora pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sykora tries to clinch up and Chapman counters with a shoot takedown. Sykora fights it but they end up in guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Max Chapman dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action! Sykora throws a head kick that misses. Chapman has a takedown stuffed. Chapman fails with the takedown. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Chapman. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Chapman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sykora throws a head kick but Chapman moves out of range.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Chapman. Chapman working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sykora explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
That's one minute gone in the round. Sykora throws a head kick that misses. A head kick misses from Chapman. Chapman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Chapman tries to keep at a distance but Sykora has taken the fight into the clinch. Chapman is looking to take this one to the mat. The referee calls for Sykora to work.
Chapman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Chapman is working for takedown but Sykora is calmly controlling the position for now. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Sykora. Sykora is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Sykora landing knees to the head.
Sykora lands a knee to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sykora taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sykora holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Sykora continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. Sykora breaks from the clinch.
Sykora moves into the clinch successfully.
Chapman goes for a takedown in the clinch but Sykora prevents it.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sykora tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Chapman avoids it. Sykora with a knee to the head.
It looks like Max Chapman has been cut. Chapman is trying to break the clinch but Sykora is controlling him. Sykora trying to control the position but instead, Chapman has worked for underhooks and has pushed Sykora into the cage. Sykora lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sykora managing to block the knees to the body from Chapman.
Sykora dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Sykora has Chapman pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Chapman is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Sykora - that's hurt Chapman badly! Oh, another knee lands and Chapman is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Chapman doesn't seem to be complaining.
