Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sean Morrison !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Cleveland Steamer!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Ron Honeybunn and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Steamer throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Morrison changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Morrison defending well as Steamer loads up on a big left hand.
Morrison appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A decent looking cross lands there for Steamer.
Steamer throws a big shot that misses.
Morrison fails with the takedown
and Morrison takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Morrison misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Steamer feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Morrison sprawling to the canvas! Morrison rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Steamer finish him?!
Morrison is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Steamer finds Morrison 's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Morrison flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Steamer lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Morrison will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cleveland Steamer!
