Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ray Gold (ranked 4299 p4p, 4513 weight class) and Yamaoto Yi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold sizes up Yi with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Gold lands a jab to Yi's midsection.

Gold lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Yi tries to move into range but Gold moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Yi with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Gold to score with a decent uppercut.

The fighters circle momentarily. Gold darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Yi moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Ray Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Yi throws a chopping leg kick but Gold manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Gold went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Gold catches Yi with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Gold was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Gold connects with a good right hand that stumbles Yi. Yi circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Yi looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Yi needs to keep his hands up - Gold had a free shot at his head there.
Gold takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Gold slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Yi in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with each other but Yi might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Gold has got the better of the exchanges.

Gold uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Yi has time to react.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Yi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gold has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gold and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Oh Gold is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Yi throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Gold crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
