The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aloisio stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Aloisio wants it to stay on the feet.
Aloisio thinks about countering with a body kick.
Womba fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Aloisio, pushing him back against the cage.
I was talking to Aloisio's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Aloisio is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Aloisio pulls guard effortlessly.
Aloisio is pulling down on Womba's head. It's preventing any offense from Womba, at least for the moment.
Aloisio's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Womba avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Womba is sitting in close to Aloisio's body. Aloisio has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Womba is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Womba is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Aloisio.
