The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masvidal throws a head kick that half lands.

Masvidal lands a big head kick that sends Bottoms tumbling to the mat! Masvidal takes a step backwards and waves Bottoms back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Bottoms is rocked!
A shot to the liver by Masvidal. Beautiful body shot.
Bottoms is still on wobbly legs! Can Masvidal finish him?
Bottoms throws a half hearted mid kick.
Bottoms seems to have recovered his senses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Masvidal cracks Bottoms with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Masvidal has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bottoms to stand back up!
Bottoms drops his hands for a split second and Masvidal immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Bottoms face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Masvidal follows up with a right hand that knocks Bottoms into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

After the fight, Jorge Masvidal was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
