Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bengt Strom (ranked 2331 p4p, 3375 weight class) and Miri Vanderbilt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bengt Strom could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Miri Vanderbilt's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanderbilt wants to clinch
and Strom counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Still in half guard, Strom seems content to control.
Vanderbilt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Strom. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Strom seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Vanderbilt is trying to escape the position but Strom is controlling the position.
Strom has an Americana. Vanderbilt didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Strom is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Strom hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
