Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Damien Edna and Topper Green.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera misses with a wild combination.
Rivera avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nating scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
A head kick from Nating lands but Rivera takes it in his stride.
Rivera closes the distance and clinches.

Nating throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rivera's waist but Rivera gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nating off to one side.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looked like Rivera was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Nating steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Rivera.

Nating tries to pull guard but Rivera holds him up against the cage and eventually Nating drops back down to his feet.
Nating ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nating no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Rivera really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Nating is working an open guard so Rivera takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Rivera has closed the distance and engaged Nating in a clinch.
Nating tries to break free but Rivera pushes him back against the cage.

Nating jumps guard and drags Rivera to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That was a close round but I would say that Rafael Rivera will probably get the nod.

Nating shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rivera manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Nating is trying to remain composed but Rivera is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Rivera is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Rivera is working for a rear naked choke. Nating is not defending it well and Rivera has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Nating refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Nating's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
