The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perkele gets a takedown into half guard.
Perkele throws a strike but Ham avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Perkele wants to control from the top but Ham keeps moving.
Ham wants to sweep here but Perkele controlling him for the moment.

Perkele lands a couple of elbows.
Perkele really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ham. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ham wants to sweep but no luck.

Perkele is trying to hold Ham in close to prevent damage but Ham has managed to pass into half guard.
Perkele tries to roll over but Ham keeps him under control.

Perkele is looking for a sweep. Ham is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Perkele is refusing to be controlled, as Ham sits in half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Perkele misses with some strikes from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Ham misses with a few strikes there.
Ham tries to clinch up.
Perkele shoots for a double leg takedown but Ham sprawls well. He's pushed Perkele's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Perkele looks gassed!
Ham tries to bum rush Perkele with a series of wild strikes but Perkele uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Ham throws a lazy right hand but Perkele sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Perkele won't allow Ham to get back to his feet.
Perkele wants to pass the guard but Ham is keeping the position.

Ham pushes a forearm under Perkele's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Perkele is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
