Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jin Yi (ranked 859 p4p, 1196 weight class) and John Edmonds (ranked 131 p4p, 186 weight class). Yi comes into the arena with Wobble blaring out of the sound system. Edmonds has chosen Frankie Smith - Double Dutch Bus as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jin Yi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Edmonds!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yi slips a jab from Edmonds.
Edmonds throws a series of strikes that have Yi backpedaling.

Yi has been working on his boxing with his coaches at The Rubber Guard Emporium in the buildup to the fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Yi misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Edmonds is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Yi to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Edmonds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Yi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Edmonds is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Yi has his foot on Edmonds's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Edmonds works his way back into a safe position though.

That was a close round but I would say that Jin Yi will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Yi's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Edmonds drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Edmonds jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Yi is striking off his back. Edmonds thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Yi is looking to control Edmonds's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Yi avoid being mounted?
Yi tries to roll over but Edmonds keeps him under control.
Jin Yi is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Edmonds is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Yi sees it coming and defends easily.
And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jin Yi.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Yi, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
