Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Allen (ranked 22688 p4p, 22360 weight class) and Papa John (ranked 463 p4p, 475 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Papa John was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Oliver Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Papa John!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Allen throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
John lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Allen throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Allen throws a hook to the side of John's head but John sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
John unleashes a big counter combination but Allen bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Allen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
John takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
It looks like Papa John has been cut.
John moves into the clinch successfully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
John pushes Allen back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
John looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

John throws a big counter head kick but Allen avoids it with no problem.
John misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
John on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
John tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Allen misses with a wild combination.
John throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Allen is rocked!

Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. John engages and cracks Allen with a massive lead left hook - Allen tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! John is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Papa John!
