Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Kaidi (ranked 2714 p4p, 2969 weight class) and Alex Heart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zhang Kaidi has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zhang Kaidi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Heart instigates a clinch.
Heart is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kaidi pulls Heart into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Heart looking to sit in guard and control but Kaidi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Heart trying to keep a closed guard but Kaidi is proving a slippery customer.
Heart is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Heart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kaidi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Heart looking for a sweep. Not yet Heart, not yet.
Heart is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Kaidi lands a couple of digs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kaidi trying to control but Heart is working from the bottom.
Kaidi stays in close to Heart's body and controls the position.
Kaidi might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Kaidi advances position into side control!
Heart tries to bench press Kaidi off him but Kaidi keeps the position.
Heart tries to strike from the bottom but misses.
Kaidi passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Heart!

Kaidi is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Heart is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Heart flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Kaidi anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Heart and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Kaidi slips an arm under Heart chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Kaidi has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Kaidi is squeezing on Heart like an anaconda would it's prey. Heart fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Zhang Kaidi!
