Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pavel Sova (ranked 4997 p4p, 5107 weight class) and Samuel Summers (ranked 542 p4p, 547 weight class). Pavel Sova is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pavel Sova! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samuel Summers! The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Chad Campbell and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sova shoots in for a double leg but Summers sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A little jabbing left from Summers on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Sova takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Sova fails with a takedown attempt. Summers displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sova. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pavel Sova. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sova throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Summers's waist but Summers gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sova off to one side. The fighters circle momentarily. Summers darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Sova will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sova takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sova looks for a takedown but Summers sprawls well. Summers lands a big uppercut and Sova crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Sova looks OK. Summers waves Sova back to his feet!
Sova is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sova changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Summers tries to avoid it but Sova manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Summers to the ground. Summers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Oh Sova is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's one minute gone in the round. No luck for Sova with that takedown attempt. Nice body punch from Summers. Sova seems to have got his legs back now. Sova showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Summers.
Sova drives through with a takedown into Summers's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Sova trying to control but Summers is working from the bottom. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Summers holds on and takes a little breather. Sova wants to control from the top but Summers keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sova pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Summers is keeping the position for now. Sova is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Summers is pulling down on Sova's head to control his posture.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. Sova shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Summers manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Sova trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sova preventing the sweep. Summers is controlling Sova's posture. Sova wants to pass the guard but Summers is keeping the position. Sova postures up in Summers's guard and throws a big left but Summers blocks it. Sova pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Summers is keeping the position for now. Sova drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Summers manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Sova has Summers in his guard. Summers stands and throws Sova's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Sova is looking to regain half guard here but Summers keeps moving and retains side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Samuel Summers dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Nice uppercut lands for Summers. That snapped Sova's head back.

Sova changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Summers tries to avoid it but Sova manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Summers to the ground. The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Sova misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Sova closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Sova passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Summers! Sova looking to ground and pound but Summers is blocking nicely. Sova trying to control but Summers is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sova has control of Summers's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Summers regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Sova can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Summers is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sova is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Summers is surviving well by controlling Sova's body position as best he can. Sova looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Sova is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Summers to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Summers shrugs it off. Sova tries to control but Summers wriggling away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Sova thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Sova throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage. Sova has control of Summers's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Summers regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Summers tries to hold on but Sova pushes him away. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Summers bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Summers is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Pavel Sova dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round! Summers lands with a good body shot. Sova is trying hard to land a takedown here. Summers sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Sova goes for a double leg but Summers avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Summers continues to drive forward. A short right hand to the side of the head by Summers. Good body shot from Summers.
Summers lands a nice shot to the body. Sova is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pavel Sova. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sova tries for a takedown. No joy.

Summers makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. Summers escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pavel Sova is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sova looks up at the clock. Bad move! Summers lands a right hand from hell, dropping Sova. Summers pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Samuel Summers! During a confident post fight interview, Samuel Summers thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
