Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tim Horton (ranked 1457 p4p, 1442 weight class) and Hick Diaz (ranked 219 p4p, 217 weight class). The key to victory for Tim Horton has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz tries for a takedown but Horton circles away easily
and Horton counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Horton shows good takedown defense.
Horton is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Diaz gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Horton to counter with a crisp jab.
Tim Horton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hick Diaz.

Horton gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Diaz to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hick Diaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Diaz scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Diaz wants to control but Horton is keeping him busy.
Diaz wants to pass the guard but Horton is defending well.
Horton tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Diaz has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

Diaz seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Horton is holding on tight.

Diaz jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Horton is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Horton and Diaz has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Horton wants to control but Diaz postures up.

Horton digs a right hand into Diaz's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Diaz's gas tank.

Diaz is trying to pull guard but Horton turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Horton lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Diaz backwards.

The fighters are playing wrist control here with Diaz pressed against the cage. Horton frees himself up and cracks Diaz with an uppercut straight from the bowels of hell! Diaz crumples to the floor, out cold! Horton jumps on to the cage and takes in the roar of the crowd! That was nasty!
