PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cyber Bully (ranked 2835 p4p, 2531 weight class) and Louis C K (ranked 355 p4p, 314 weight class). C K is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Live at Carnegie Hall. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

C K drives through with a takedown into Bully's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

C K is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

C K got a little sloppy there for a moment and Bully has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, C K has managed to get both his arms back between Bully's legs - danger averted.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bully not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

C K stays in close to Bully's body and controls the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

C K shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bully manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bully is pulling down on C K's head. It's preventing any offense from C K, at least for the moment.
Bully is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
My spies in Desert Fitness & Training (14 Elite Coaches) inform me that C K has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bully has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but C K can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Bully escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. C K gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Bully has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Bully has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. C K is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Bully.
C K moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Bully is trying to improve his position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
C K content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
C K slips under a jab.
C K shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bully defends it nicely.

C K shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bully napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bully is not content to let C K control the position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Louis C K dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

C K shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bully sprawls well. Bully wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. C K gets slowly back to his feet.

Bully shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Bully throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

C K dives in and scores a takedown into Bully's guard.

Bully escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. C K gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

C K wants to pass the guard but Bully is keeping the position.
Bully controls C K momentarily but C K frees himself.
Bully looking to hit a scissor sweep but C K is one step ahead there.
C K showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
C K's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

C K closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
C K prevents Bully from improving his position.
C K is thwarting Bully's attempts to control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bully tries to roll over but C K keeps him under control.
C K wants to free his trapped foot but Bully is holding on for dear life with his legs.
C K has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Bully is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but C K pulls his head out easily.
C K seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Bully wants to sweep but C K has passed to side control!

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
C K is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Louis C K showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Bully's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Bully stuffs the takedown attempt from C K. C K gets slowly back to his feet.
C K fails with the takedown.
C K shoots and misses
and Bully counters with an outside leg kick.
Cyber Bully has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Louis C K.
Bully cracks C K with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Horrible takedown attempt by C K or perhaps it was just good defense by Bully, which made it look bad.
C K goes for a double leg but Bully avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bully continues to drive forward.
Bully looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Bully looks to land a right hand but C K moved out of range.

C K closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - C K lands in his opponent's guard.

Bully looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! C K has picked Bully up and slammed him! Bully can't keep hold of the triangle and C K manages to pass to side control!

Bully is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on C K's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
C K slows the pace down in half guard.
Louis C K has got the better of the ground game so far.
C K trying to mount his opponent but Bully defends it.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Bully throws a hook but C K blocks it.
Nice takedown defense from Bully. No joy for C K on that attempt.
Bully looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
C K fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A counter left hand to the body from Bully misses its target.

C K gets the takedown into side control.
Bully tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but C K wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
C K controls the position.

Bully is looking to regain half guard here but C K keeps moving and retains side control.
The referee asks C K politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. C K prefers to stall for the moment though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Louis C K.
I've got C K winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
