Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gerbert Adams!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Winston Howard and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Adams.
Tshabalala looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Adams throws a wild body kick that Tshabalala sees coming a mile off.
Sloppy strikes from Adams. Those never looked like landing.
Tshabalala attempts a counter takedown but Adams avoids it well and moves away.
Adams throws out a loose jab but Tshabalala uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tshabalala is looking to counter the offense by Adams and move into the clinch.
Adams finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Adams fails with an attempt to clinch.
Tshabalala tries to counter with a takedown but Adams is quick to defend against it.

Adams gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Tshabalala to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Tshabalala won't allow Adams to get back to his feet.

Tshabalala wants to control from the top but Adams keeps moving.

Adams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Adams enables Tshabalala to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Adams manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Tshabalala won't allow Adams to get back to his feet.

Adams goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

and Tshabalala counters with a left and a right that stings Adams.

Tshabalala shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Adams napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Adams wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Adams swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Tshabalala counters with a one-two to the body.

enabling Tshabalala to counter with a crisp jab.

Tshabalala seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Adams moves in looking to clinch but Tshabalala pushes him off.
Adams tries to close the distance and clinch but Tshabalala swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Tshabalala throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Adams tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tshabalala is in Adams's guard.
Adams wants to get back to his feet but Tshabalala is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Tshabalala might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Adams manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Tshabalala keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Adams tries a knee to the head but Tshabalala blocks it.
Adams is trying to pull guard but Tshabalala turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Tshabalala jumps guard and drags Adams to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Adams stands and steps away. Tshabalala gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Adams throws a low kick but Tshabalala moves out of range easily.
Tshabalala is looking for a counter combo.

Tshabalala throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Adams tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tshabalala is in Adams's guard.
Tshabalala is pushing down on Adams's leg trying to pass to half guard. Adams is fighting to maintain full guard but Tshabalala has managed to sneak the leg through.
Adams is looking to get back to is feet but Tshabalala passes into side control.

Adams thows a leg kick but Tshabalala checks it
and Tshabalala counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Tshabalala pulls guard effortlessly.
Adams really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tshabalala. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tshabalala is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Tshabalala escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Adams gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Adams wanted to stand there but Tshabalala had control of the position.
Gerbert Adams has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tenacity Tshabalala is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Adams throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tshabalala works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
