The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shittaker clinches up against the cage.

Shittaker breaks from the clinch.

Smith has closed the distance and engaged Shittaker in a clinch.
Shittaker tries to throw a body punch but Smith avoids it by throwing Shittaker back against the cage.
Shittaker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Smith has him pressed against the cage.

Smith breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Shittaker tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Smith is able to avoid easily.
Bobert Shittaker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shittaker looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Smith has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Shittaker. Oh but Smith has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Shittaker goes limp - he's gone! Smith jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
