PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dustin Grey (ranked 4065 p4p, 4372 weight class) and Kamaru Usman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grey comes to the cage accompanied by Aneurysm . Kamaru Usman told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Usman throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Grey fails to land with a series of punches.
Usman works Grey's body with a nice hook.

As Usman looks to move away, Grey throws a big counter combo but Usman just gets out of the way.
Grey comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Dustin Grey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Usman just misses with a punch to the body.
Grey throws a series of punches but Usman avoids them all with ease.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grey shoots in looking for a takedown but Usman manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Grey's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Grey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Usman for as long as he can get away with.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Usman throws a right and a left that Grey avoids nicely.
Grey changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Usman slaps away a takedown attempt from Grey, before circling back to the center of the mat.
