Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jed Chandler (ranked 3299 p4p, 3450 weight class) and Tapio Oivio (ranked 404 p4p, 417 weight class). Tapio Oivio will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jed Chandler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tapio Oivio!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chandler dives in and grabs Oivio's left leg, looking for a takedown. Oivio pushes down on Chandler's head and hops out.
Oivio moves in looking to clinch but Chandler pushes him off.
Chandler appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Oivio uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Oivio darts in and clinches Chandler up against the cage.
Chandler is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Oivio gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Oivio ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Oivio no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Chandler postures up in Oivio's guard and throws a big left but Oivio blocks it.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Chandler accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Oivio wants to stand up but Chandler is controlling him.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Chandler slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Chandler swats away the attempt to clinch by Oivio.
Tapio Oivio is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Oivio rushes Chandler and presses him up against the cage.
Oivio is leaning against Chandler and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Oivio cracks Chandler with a nice body shot.
Chandler takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Jed Chandler has been cut.

Oivio has Chandler pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Chandler manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Oivio lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Chandler backwards.
Chandler looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Chandler stops a takedown attempt from Oivio.
Oivio lands an elbow inside that Chandler shrugs off.
Oivio pulls guard effortlessly.

Chandler throws a big right hand that misses.
Chandler stands up over Oivio, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chandler is working Oivio over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Oivio is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Chandler trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Oivio really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chandler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Chandler has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Chandler is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Chandler is pushing down on Oivio's leg trying to pass to half guard. Oivio is fighting to maintain full guard but Chandler has managed to sneak the leg through.
Oivio wants to get back to his feet.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Oivio forces Chandler back against the cage and clinches.
Oivio is trying to pull guard but Chandler has him pressed against the cage.
Oivio lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Chandler tries to score a body lock takedown but Oivio shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Chandler goes for a takedown attempt but Oivio pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Chandler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Oivio as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jed Chandler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
