Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peetu Tam (ranked 3702 p4p, 1703 weight class) and Patrick Turgeon (ranked 443 p4p, 218 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Patrick Turgeon was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Peetu Tam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Patrick Turgeon!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tam digs a good body shot into Turgeon's ribs.
That kick from Tam tenderised Turgeon's leg. Turgeon is trying to keep his angry face on.
Turgeon jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Tam throws a leg kick
and Turgeon counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Peetu Tam has been cut.
Tam ducks right into an uppercut from Turgeon.
Tam moves out of range as Turgeon strikes.
Turgeon gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Turgeon takes a swing at Tam's ribcage but misses.
Turgeon has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Tam fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
A big right from Tam misses.
Turgeon is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Tam avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Turgeon catches Tam with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A right-left combo lands from Tam.
Turgeon connects with a body shot.
Turgeon avoids the head kick by Tam.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Turgeon takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Tam takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Peetu Tam's cut is getting worse.
Turgeon ducks down into range and throws a picture perfect right hook that connects with Tam's jaw. Tam's eyes stare off into space as he falls to the mat, out cold! Turgeon does the decent thing and steps back, rather than landing any shots to his unconscious opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Patrick Turgeon!
