Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ratt Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Forrest Griffinn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughes comes to the cage accompanied by Country boy can survive. Forrest Griffinn will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ratt Hughes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Forrest Griffinn! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hughes misses with a series of wild punches.
Hughes scores with a takedown into Griffinn's guard. Hughes distracts Griffinn with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Griffinn is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hughes postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Hughes working some strikes from top position. Hughes wants to pass the guard but Griffinn is keeping the position. Hughes cracks Griffinn with a solid left hand.
Griffinn is rocked! Hughes with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Griffinn is still in real trouble! Can Hughes finish him? The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Griffinn looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hughes working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hughes cracks Griffinn with a solid left hand. Hughes forces his way into half guard. Hughes working Griffinn over with strikes. Hughes frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Hughes scoring with strikes but Griffinn is staying in there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hughes looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Hughes lands with some strikes. Hughes cracks Griffinn with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Hughes connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Hughes with a couple of short strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hughes is breathing heavily. Griffinn gets back to half guard. Griffinn is defending against the submission attempts here by Hughes.
Hughes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Griffinn is just riding it out for now. Hughes eventually gives up the hold. Griffinn wants to control but Hughes is keeping busy and won't allow it. Ground and pound from Hughes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hughes is trying for a kimura here. Griffinn looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Hughes wins by kimura!
