The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Don gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gracie to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Gracie pushing down on Don's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Gracie uses his free foot to push down on Don's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Don.
Gracie has hold of Don's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Don manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Don has given up his back here. Will Gracie look for the submission or keep pounding away?
