Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jorge Masvidal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Modo Turminigen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Masvidal blocks a head kick by Turminigen.
A head kick misses from Turminigen.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Turminigen.
Jorge Masvidal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Turminigen looks for the body kick but Masvidal saw that one coming.
Masvidal was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Turminigen lands a head kick. Masvidal smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Turminigen takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Modo Turminigen has been cut.
Masvidal lands a nice hook to Turminigen's body. Turminigen takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Oooooh!!! Masvidal has knocked Turminigen down with a huge combo! Masvidal steps away and waves a wobbly Turminigen back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Turminigen attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Masvidal lands a left and a right that send Turminigen crashing to the mat, dazed. Masvidal thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Turminigen is rocked!
Masvidal throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Turminigen crumples to the floor and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Jorge Masvidal!
Jorge Masvidal decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
