The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mahrez attempts a counter takedown but Jordan avoids it well and moves away.
Jordan swings for the body but Mahrez moves out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Mahrez is defended easily by Jordan.
Jordan now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Mahrez has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Mahrez there as he acknowledges the shot.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mahrez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mahrez is trying to get an arm triangle but Jordan is defending well.
Mahrez wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jordan keeps working.
Jordan is trying to get back to half guard.
Jordan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mahrez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mahrez has an Americana. Jordan didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mahrez is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mahrez hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
