Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tanner Herro (ranked 1737 p4p, 2287 weight class) and Grow Up (ranked 237 p4p, 304 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tanner Herro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Grow Up!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herro closes the distance looking to clinch

and Up counters with a nice double leg into side control. Herro won't be happy with that.

Herro sneaks out the side door and pushes Up away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Herro dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Herro looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Herro lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Up ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Up keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Herro.

Up has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Up there as he acknowledges the shot.
Herro scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Herro looks to land a left hand but Up moved out of range nicely.
Up tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Herro is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Up uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Herro.

Herro has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Crapollas Gym in the buildup to the fight.
Herro bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Up's head backwards.

and Up counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Up is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Herro wants to stand up but Up is controlling him.

Up looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Let's hope that Up has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Up stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Herro swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Herro wants to get back to his feet but Up is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Herro lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Up steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Herro.
And Up tries to counter it with a takedown but Herro pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Herro tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Up manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Herro lands the left hand.
Herro fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Up drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Herro defends it well.

Herro lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Up wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Herro, who protects the arm well.

Up has an Americana. Herro didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Up is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Up hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Grow Up!
A less than humble Grow Up misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
