Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Shaw (ranked 5188 p4p, 24429 weight class) and Baby Hulk (ranked 523 p4p, 611 weight class). Baby Hulk is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hulk gets a double leg takedown into Shaw's guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Shaw escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hulk gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hulk wants to control from the top but Shaw keeps moving.

Shaw has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hulk can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Hulk darts in looking for a takedown but Shaw gets double underhooks and turns Hulk into the cage.
Shaw attempts a counter takedown but Hulk avoids it well and moves away.

Shaw feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Shaw distracts Hulk with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hulk is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Shaw is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Shaw's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Shaw wants to stand but Hulk has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Hulk has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Shaw has passed into side control.

Shaw is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hulk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Shaw changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hulk tries to avoid it but Shaw manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hulk to the ground. Hulk escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Shaw unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Hulk wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Shaw celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!

After winning the bout, Kevin Shaw thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
