Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hermann Oestergaard (ranked 3971 p4p, 3658 weight class) and Powder Power (ranked 460 p4p, 434 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hermann Oestergaard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Powder Power!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Oestergaard moves into the clinch.

Power breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Power tries a head kick but it misses.
Power throws a head kick that misses.

Oestergaard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Oestergaard lands in his opponent's guard.
Oestergaard controls from within his opponent's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oestergaard advances position into side control!

Sloppy strikes there by Oestergaard.

Oestergaard's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Further stalling from Oestergaard.

Oestergaard wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Power, who protects the arm well.

A lull in the action here as Oestergaard stalls from top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Oestergaard looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hermann Oestergaard dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Power throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Oestergaard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Oestergaard lands in his opponent's guard.
Oestergaard stays in close to Power's body and controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hermann Oestergaard overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Oestergaard slips nicely into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Oestergaard in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Oestergaard passes to full mount!
Oestergaard thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Oestergaard looking to control and managing it successfully.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Oestergaard seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Power for as long as he can get away with.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Power pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Oestergaard closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Oestergaard lands in his opponent's guard.
Power wants to stand up but Oestergaard is controlling him.
Power preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Power is working an open guard so Oestergaard takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Oestergaard closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Oestergaard is trying to pull guard but Power turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Power gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Oestergaard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Power jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Oestergaard walks away with a smile on his face. Power gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Oestergaard shoots in looking for a takedown but Power manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Oestergaard's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hermann Oestergaard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Oestergaard shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Power pinned against the cage. Power gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Power gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Oestergaard seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Oestergaard continues to stall.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Oestergaard works over Power with some ground and pound from guard.
Oestergaard advances position into side control!
Oestergaard staying calm.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
More hug and hope from Oestergaard.
Power is looking to get back to his feet here but Oestergaard is keeping cool and he's managed to take Power's back.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A bit of a pause in the action here. Oestergaard controlling the positon.

And that's the end of the fight!
Hermann Oestergaard showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Oestergaard, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
