Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Josh Wyte (ranked 5508 p4p, 3280 weight class) and Miyata San (ranked 519 p4p, 393 weight class). Josh Wyte had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Miyata San will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wyte closes the distance looking to clinch

and San counters with a shoot takedown. Wyte fights it but they end up in guard.
Wyte has momentary wrist control but San slips an elbow through the middle.
San lands a couple of digs.
San postures up and lands a big shot to Wyte's brow.

Wyte escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. San gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Wyte bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in San's guard.

Wyte tries to free his leg and advance position but San is retaining full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

San is pulling down on Wyte's head. It's preventing any offense from Wyte, at least for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

San stands and throws Wyte's legs to the side, diving into side control.
San cracks Wyte with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! San immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Wyte is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by San!
