Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matt Spanks (ranked 22509 p4p, 3640 weight class) and Alejandro Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alejandro Da Silva told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spanks closes the distance and pushes Da Silva back into the cage.
Da Silva can't get the takedown.

Da Silva thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Da Silva drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Da Silva jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Da Silva drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Da Silva seems to have locked his on tight now - Spanks screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Da Silva, as he picks up the win!
