Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arlo OFoley (ranked 3888 p4p, 5586 weight class) and Rich Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arlo OFoley had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Arlo OFoley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rich Reed!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but OFoley paws at him with a jab and circles away.
OFoley looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Reed gets the takedown into side control.

OFoley explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Reed misses with a wild combination.
Reed shoots in looking for a takedown but OFoley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Reed's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Reed misses with a straight left.
OFoley tries to score a power double leg takedown but Reed sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten OFoley somewhat.
OFoley sets himself, and Reed steps forward looking for the clinch! OFoley avoids it this time.
No luck for Reed with that takedown attempt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Reed bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Reed in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Reed wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by OFoley, who protects the arm well.

Reed decides to stand back up.

Reed moves into the clinch.
Reed is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables OFoley to keep the fight standing.
OFoley tries to break the clinch but Reed is controlling the position.
Reed can't find room to land a body shot as OFoley controls the action.
OFoley jumps guard but Reed stands there with OFoley around his waist. OFoley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Reed tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and OFoley avoids it.
OFoley wants to get back to striking at distance but Reed won't allow it.
Reed can't get the takedown.
A frustrated look appears on OFoley's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Reed is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Reed tries to work over OFoley's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
OFoley blocks an elbow strike from Reed.
Reed is trying to drag OFoley to the mat but OFoley just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A frustrated look appears on OFoley's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Reed tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. OFoley just stands there and leans against the cage.
OFoley has had enough of the clinch but Reed keeps him there for the moment.
OFoley lands an elbow inside.

Reed wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Reed is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables OFoley to keep the fight standing.
Reed can't break the clinch.
OFoley looking for a takedown.
Reed tries to stall but OFoley uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Reed swings wildly with an uppercut but OFoley uses good head movement to avoid it.
Reed content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Reed keeps control of OFoley as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Reed wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Reed tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. OFoley just stands there and leans against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Reed tried to land a shot to the body but connects with OFoley's elbow.

OFoley has Reed pressed against the cage, preventing Reed from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Reed misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
OFoley slaps away a takedown attempt from Reed, before circling back to the center of the mat.
OFoley goes for a double leg but Reed avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Reed continues to drive forward.
Reed can't get the takedown.
OFoley wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reed has him pressed against the cage.

Arlo OFoley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rich Reed.
Reed tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Reed has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. OFoley is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Reed drops down looking for an ankle pick but OFoley pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
OFoley takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

As Reed looks to move away, OFoley throws a big counter combo but Reed just gets out of the way.
OFoley throws a head kick that misses

and Reed counters with a nice double leg into side control. OFoley won't be happy with that.

Reed stands up.

Reed closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
OFoley taking punishment in the form of punches.

Reed working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Rich Reed has got the better of the ground game so far.
Reed scores with a couple of short elbows.

This has been an exciting period of action!

OFoley is letting Reed control him for a moment.

Reed looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Reed lands some shots froms side control.

Reed tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reed has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Reed tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Reed stands up from mount. Strange move.

Reed closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming OFoley to the mat! OFoley manages to get full guard.
OFoley wants to get back to his feet but Reed passes into half guard.

Well, if Reed is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Reed's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Rich Reed showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Reed moves in looking to clinch but OFoley pushes him off.
OFoley is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Reed.
Reed goes for a double leg but OFoley avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as OFoley continues to drive forward.

and OFoley counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
OFoley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Reed counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Reed shoots in for a takedown but OFoley shows good takedown defense.
OFoley wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
OFoley looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
OFoley avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Reed tries to close the distance and clinch up but OFoley swats him away and circles back towards the center.

OFoley tries to get back to half guard but can't.
OFoley is working to avoid the ground and pound but Reed connects with a decent elbow.

Reed has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Reed is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. OFoley is defending well though. Reed let's go of the attempt for now.
