The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cannon lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

It looks like Umaro Sunsmon has been cut.
Sunsmon misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

and Cannon counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Cannon scores with a sloppy right hand. Sunsmon should have avoided that one.
Cannon looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Cannon moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Sunsmon goes down! Can Cannon finish him!?

Cannon throws an elbow that misses. Sunsmon uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cannon's guard. Nice move by Sunsmon!

Sunsmon stands up from Cannon's guard - Sunsmon perhaps looking for a knockout.
Sunsmon throws a head kick that misses.
Cannon wants to counter the offense by Sunsmon and move into the clinch position.
Cannon fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sunsmon on the side of the head.
A jab from Cannon finds it's way through Sunsmon's defenses.

Sunsmon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

and Cannon connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Jeez, Umaro Sunsmon's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cannon thuds his right hand into Sunsmon's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Umaro Sunsmon's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
