Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne Johnson (ranked 24432 p4p, 4407 weight class) and Chiharu Shiba (ranked 669 p4p, 517 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Shiba's choice of entrance music: Sick Puppies - Survive. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dwayne Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chiharu Shiba! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shiba connects with a solid leg kick. Johnson tries to bum rush Shiba with a series of wild strikes but Shiba uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Johnson tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Johnson checks a leg kick. Shiba scoring well with a low kick there.
Shiba fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Johnson has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Shiba with the inside leg kick. Johnson tries to clinch up but Shiba circles away and keeps his distance. Shiba scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Chiharu Shiba seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Shiba feints and then cracks Johnson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Johnson down. Johnson swinging wildly here.
Shiba displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Johnson. Johnson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shiba looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shiba sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Johnson perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Shiba slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Shiba lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Shiba is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Johnson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Let's hope that Shiba has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Shiba forces his way into half guard. Shiba looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Shiba.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shiba missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Johnson is trying to stand back up but Shiba is controlling him

Shiba is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Johnson! Shiba sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Johnson avoids a series of strikes thrown by Shiba.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shiba takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Johnson taking shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shiba controlling from mount. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Yet more stalling tactics from Shiba. Johnson holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Shiba tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Shiba's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. More stalling from Shiba. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Chiharu Shiba dominated that round. That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Shiba misses with a leg kick. Johnson fails to land with a series of punches.
And Shiba responds with a good body kick, but Johnson manages to step out the way in time. Johnson shoots for a double leg takedown but Shiba sprawls well. He's pushed Johnson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Shiba has tried to improve his agility in the runup to this fight. Shiba lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Shiba lands a nice leg kick that just misses Johnson's sensitive parts. Dwayne Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Shiba scores with a kick to the body.

Shiba throws a low kick but Johnson avoids it. Johnson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Johnson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. A slapping leg kick lands for Shiba.
Shiba lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. This has been an exciting period of action! Shiba buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Shiba turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Shiba with a nice calf kick. Shiba fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Johnson.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson with a lazy takedown attempt and Shiba counters with a body kick that stops Johnson in his tracks momentarily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Johnson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Shiba buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Johnson is looking to clinch but Shiba is avoiding it.
Shiba lands a big head kick that sends Johnson tumbling to the mat! Shiba takes a step backwards and waves Johnson back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Dwayne Johnson has been cut. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Shiba lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Shiba throws a powerful right kick. Johnson tried to block low but the kick was high! Johnson was taken right off of his feet! Shiba jumps in to finish the job and the ref tackles him! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:42 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Chiharu Shiba! A less than humble Chiharu Shiba misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
