Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Torn Brot (ranked 1946 p4p, 3620 weight class) and Curtis Rohl (ranked 263 p4p, 427 weight class). Torn Brot has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Torn Brot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Curtis Rohl! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rohl moves to clinch but Brot breaks away and Brot counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Curtis Rohl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brot throws a nice looking combination but Rohl bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Rohl tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Brot avoids the head kick by Rohl.
A telegraphed right hand from Brot misses the target. Rohl tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Brot paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rohl is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Nice uppercut lands for Brot. That snapped Rohl's head back.
Brot looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Brot fails to land with a series of punches.
Rohl steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Brot. Brot swats away the attempt to clinch by Rohl. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brot circles away from the clinch attempt and Brot cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Brot circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rohl fails with an attempt to clinch.
Brot throwing a counter right hand but Rohl manages to avoid it. Rohl closes the distance but Brot moves to the side and Brot counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. We've been informed that Rohl has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result. Brot moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Rohl throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Rohl bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Rohl tries to clinch but Brot is having none of it. Rohl lands a head kick. Brot smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Brot misses with a looping right. Brot sets himself, and Rohl steps forward looking for the clinch! Brot avoids it this time. Brot scores with a crisp jab that stopped Rohl in his tracks. Rohl tries to clinch but Brot moves away and Brot counters with a nice uppercut. Rohl fails with an attempt to clinch.
It looked like Brot wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Rohl slips a jab from Brot. Rohl tries to close the distance and clinch but Brot swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Brot keeps the fight on the outside. Rohl wants to clinch enabling Brot to counter with a crisp jab. Rohl lands with a kick to the temple. Brot shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brot throws out a loose jab but Rohl uses good head movement to avoid it. Rohl uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Brot. Brot is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Rohl throws a leg kick which misses Brot's front leg but catches the back leg as Brot tries to avoid it. Brot throws a shot from downtown. Rohl moves away and avoids it. Rohl darts in trying to clinch and Brot counters with a nice uppercut. Rohl throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Rohl is looking to clinch but Brot is avoiding it.
Rohl takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Rohl closes the distance looking to clinch and Brot cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rohl is rocked! Brot lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Rohl falls backwards - clearly groggy! Brot dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Torn Brot!
