Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reza Chas (ranked 3935 p4p, 5283 weight class) and Vulfgang Takumi (ranked 462 p4p, 529 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Reza Chas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Vulfgang Takumi!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Takumi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Takumi throws a series of punches but Chas moves out of range.
Chas misses with an attempted mid kick.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Takumi has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Chas throws a sloppy head kick and Takumi moves out of range easily.

As Chas backs off Takumi throws a huge counter combo but Chas manages to avoid it all.

Takumi throws a series of punches but Chas avoids them all with ease.

The fight stays on the outside here - Chas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Oh Chas is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Takumi counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Takumi unleashes a big counter combination but Chas bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Takumi fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Chas sprawls well initially but Takumi persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Takumi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Takumi throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Takumi is trying to control the action in half guard but Chas is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Chas tries to get to full guard but Takumi has control of the leg.

Takumi content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Let's hope that Takumi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Chas keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Takumi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chas keeps working.
Takumi takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Chas wants to control but Takumi is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Chas is staying active underneath Takumi, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Vulfgang Takumi will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Takumi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Chas.
Chas connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

I was talking to Chas's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Takumi is trying to force a seperation but Chas has the dominant position.

Vulfgang Takumi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Takumi throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Chas on the side of the head.
Takumi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Chas moves in looking to clinch but Takumi pushes him off.

enabling Takumi to counter with a crisp jab.

Takumi lands a left and a right that send Chas crashing to the mat, dazed. Takumi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Takumi counters with a crisp right that sends Chas to the canvas! Takumi follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
