The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawk throws a right and a left that Kowalkiewicz avoids nicely.
Hawk throws a series of punches but Kowalkiewicz avoids them all with ease.
Hawk misses with a few strikes there.
Kowalkiewicz looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kowalkiewicz tests Hawk's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Hawk pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kowalkiewicz back to the cage. Hawk follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
We've been informed that Hawk has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Hawk is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Kowalkiewicz screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
