Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Justin Case (ranked 572 p4p, 545 weight class) and Jewel Diaz (ranked 66 p4p, 62 weight class). Diaz comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Andre Nickatina, Drought Season kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Justin Case! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jewel Diaz! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz thuds a left hand into Case's body. Diaz drives through with a takedown into Case's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Case working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Diaz. Diaz wants to control from the top but Case keeps moving. Diaz throws an elbow that misses. Case uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Diaz's guard. Nice move by Case! Case wants to pass the guard but Diaz is keeping the position. Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Case swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Diaz's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Diaz throws a big right hand that misses. Diaz postures up in Case's guard and throws a big left but Case blocks it. Case preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jewel Diaz dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Case takes a jab right on the kisser.

Diaz shoots in and gets a takedown into Case's guard. Case kicks Diaz off and gets to his feet. Diaz thows a left - swing and a miss! Diaz moves away from the strike by Case. Diaz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Case defends well and Diaz ends up having to push Case into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Diaz dives in for a single leg takedown but Case sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice jab there from Case. Diaz will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Justin Case has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jewel Diaz. Case moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Case thows a left - swing and a miss! Diaz dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard. Case avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Diaz. Diaz lands a big shot. Diaz trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Case wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Diaz content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Diaz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Diaz pushes down on Case's leg and manages to get into half guard. Diaz wants to control but Case is keeping him busy. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diaz seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Case does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Diaz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. A shot to the liver by Diaz. Beautiful body shot. Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Case is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, Case circles away and we're back to standing.
