Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rellik X (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Du Pont (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). X comes to the cage accompanied by Best Around. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rellik X! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Du Pont! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Du Pont tries to clinch up but X circles away and keeps his distance. Du Pont gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Du Pont is trying to control the position but X postures up. Du Pont avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. X tries to stand but Du Pont is controlling from the bottom. Du Pont trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. X decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Du Pont, up you get! X will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
X steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Du Pont.
That's one minute gone in the round. X misses with a wild combination.
X misses with a double jab.
Du Pont tries for a takedown but X sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. X looks to land a combination but Du Pont avoids it well. X stalks Du Pont and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Du Pont's face. Du Pont staggers backwards, shaken. Du Pont shoots in but X avoids the takedown attempt easily. X forces Du Pont back against the cage and clinches. X escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Du Pont tries to clinch but X is having none of it. Du Pont tries to clinch up and X counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Du Pont working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. X doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. X manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. X trying to control but Du Pont is working from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Du Pont isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. X stacks Du Pont on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by X! Du Pont is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, X asserts his dominance and retains side control. X decides to stand up, so the ref orders Du Pont to his feet. Rellik X seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Du Pont takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. X looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Du Pont fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Rellik X has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Du Pont. X throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
X avoids the head kick by Du Pont.
X throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
X closes the distance and clinches. Du Pont jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as X walks away with a smile on his face. Du Pont gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. X throws a wild combination but nothing lands. X fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

X misses with a few strikes there.
X moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. X misses with the combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. X throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Du Pont shoots in for a double leg but X sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. X swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Du Pont looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? X is fending him off so far but Du Pont persists. Nope, X circles away and we're back to standing. Du Pont looks gassed! X scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nice sprawl there from X as Du Pont shoots in. X misses with the combination.
X forces Du Pont back against the cage and clinches. X's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. X throws a series of strikes that have Du Pont backpedaling.
X is working the combinations to good effect here. Du Pont dodges the punch combination from X.
Du Pont slips a jab and a cross from X.
X misses with the combination.
X moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rellik X dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
No joy there for X, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
X rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Du Pont moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Left hook, right uppercut from X. Du Pont changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. X tries to avoid it but Du Pont manages to keep hold of a leg and drag X to the ground. X escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. X decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. X stops Du Pont from getting back to his feet.
X stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Du Pont moves out of range of the body kick from X.
X scores with a three punch combo!
X throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
X keeps the fight on the outside. X scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Du Pont is trying to control X's posture but X avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. X decides to take the fight back to the feet. X fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Du Pont tries to clinch but X moves out of range. Rellik X is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Du Pont misses with a takedown attempt - X sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Du Pont is breathing heavily. X has closed the distance and engaged Du Pont in a clinch.
Du Pont is looking for a takedown up against the cage. X gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Rellik X has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jean Du Pont. X changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Du Pont fights it off and pushes away nicely.
X throws a right hand that Du Pont ducks under and follows up with a left that Du Pont also avoids with ease.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Du Pont stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from X. Du Pont fakes high and swings low for a body shot but X manages to avoid it. X moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. X throws a wild combination but nothing lands. X clinches up with Du Pont and pushes him back against the cage. X breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Du Pont. X rushes Du Pont and presses him up against the cage. X escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Du Pont has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. X scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. You can see the frustration on Du Pont's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Du Pont manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. X gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Du Pont shoots in for a takedown but X shows good takedown defense. X throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Du Pont with a poor takedown and X counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by X. A nice right hand lands inside from X. X escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

X tries to bum rush Du Pont with a series of wild strikes but Du Pont uses good footwork to avoid the assault. X throws a nice looking combination but Du Pont bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. X clinches. X breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Du Pont misses with a takedown attempt and X counters with a series of strikes. Du Pont will be more careful next time no doubt. X misses with a jab, cross combination.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. X lands a jab-cross combination. X misses with a jab, cross combination.
X throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Du Pont. Du Pont avoids a punch combination nicely.

Rellik X dominated that second round. That's time! X's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

X gets a clinch. With the fighters clinched against the cage, X creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Du Pont manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. X would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. X has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Du Pont working for a triangle but X defends it easily.
X stands up from Du Pont's guard - X perhaps looking for a knockout. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Du Pont tries to lock up and control but X gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Jean Du Pont has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! X gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. X looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. X misses with a series of wild punches.

And that's the end of the fight! Rellik X showed his dominance in that final round. Well X has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
