Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, DeShawn West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Strdoza!
The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Lou da Vinci and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West tries to clinch there but Strdoza circles away.
Strdoza is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

and Strdoza counters with a lovely straight right hand!

West moves into the clinch successfully.
West fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Strdoza wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
West keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Strdoza's efforts to push away.
Strdoza is trying to break the clinch but West has him pressed against the cage.
West misses with the head strike.
West gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Strdoza.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Strdoza breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
West throws a combination that misses
and Strdoza counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Strdoza looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
West rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Strdoza counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
West tries to score with a low kick but Strdoza moves his leg out of the way.
West works the jab nicely.

It looks like Chad Strdoza has been cut.

West just misses with a punch to the body.

West moves into the clinch.

Strdoza has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. West is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
West makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Strdoza is trying to break the clinch but West has him pressed against the cage.
West throws a punch but it's blocked by Strdoza.
West doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
West is working Strdoza over against the cage.

A left hand lands to the body for West.
Strdoza tries to score a body lock takedown but West shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
DeShawn West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chad Strdoza.

Strdoza changes levels and goes for a takedown here. West fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Strdoza tries to pull guard but West forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Strdoza jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as West walks away with a smile on his face. Strdoza gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
West falls off balance throwing a combination
and Strdoza counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
West thuds his right hand into Strdoza's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
We've been told by West's head coaches at Shao Kahns Training Facility that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
West wants to clinch.

West wants to clinch but Strdoza slips to the side
and Strdoza counters with a two punch combo.
West tried to score with a low kick but Strdoza checks it.
Strdoza lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
West throws a looping overhand right but Strdoza ducks down to avoid it.
West wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Strdoza slips a jab from West.
Strdoza throws a counter combo.

Strdoza tries to keep at a distance but West has taken the fight into the clinch.
A short right from West on the inside.
West lands a left hand that snaps the head of Strdoza backwards.
West lands an uppercut.
Strdoza drops to a knee looking for a takedown but West gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Strdoza pulls guard effortlessly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
West content to stall in guard here.

Strdoza looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

West controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Strdoza looking for a guillotine here but West defends easily.

Strdoza is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. West is aware though and is defending well.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

DeShawn West dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Chad Strdoza's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

West misses with a wild combination.

West lands a big right hand that sends Strdoza crashing to the mat! West stays standing though and waves Strdoza back to his feet!

Strdoza is rocked!
Strdoza tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Strdoza is still on wobbly legs! Can West finish him?
West misses with a low kick.
West misses with a head kick.
West fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Strdoza.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Strdoza circles to his right, straight into a beautiful hook by West. Strdoza falls face first into the canvas - great knockout victory for West!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:33 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). DeShawn West!
A less than humble DeShawn West misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
