PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muhammad Kango (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyler Durden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kango comes to the ring accompanied by Everyone Nose. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Muhammad Kango!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyler Durden!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Paul Tew and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durden throws a right and a left that both miss.
A big head kick from Kango and Durden is sent sprawling to the canvas!


It looks like Tyler Durden has been cut.
Kango postures up.

Kango working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Kango would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Durden wants to sweep here but Kango controlling him for the moment.

Durden is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kango defends well.
Kango has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Durden wants to control the pace but Kango is squirming around nicely.

Durden takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Durden is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kango doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Durden.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Durden is trying to control. Kango wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Durden slips a nice elbow through Kango's hands, connecting with Kango's forehead.
Durden is stalling here. Kango is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Durden seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Kango has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Durden is on top in guard.
Durden slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Durden might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kango kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Despite being in the dominant position, Tyler Durden just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Durden lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kango is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Durden gets his way!

Durden is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Durden seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kango does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Kango. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Durden feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
