The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
jan is looking to clinch but Cody is avoiding it.
jan has Cody up against the ropes in a clinch.
Cody tries to throw a body punch but jan avoids it by throwing Cody back against the cage.
jan pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.
jan throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Cody blocks it with crossed arms.
jan blocks a body shot from Cody.
Cody blocks the elbow strike.
Cody misses with a short punch on the inside.
jan throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
A frustrated look appears on Cody's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Cody pushes jan back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head.
It looks like john jan has been cut.
jan lands a nice shot to the body.
jan gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Bruce Cody has been cut.
jan creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Cody's defenses.
jan tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Cody avoids it.
jan lands an elbow inside that Cody shrugs off.
jan looks to throw an elbow but misses.

jan lands an elbow inside that Cody shrugs off.

jan unloads a knee to the mid-section. Cody lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

jan successfully pulls guard.
jan has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cody can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
jan has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Cody doesn't defend quickly enough and jan has managed to lock this one up! Can Cody escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to jan on a fantastic submission victory.
