PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Hardy (ranked 4269 p4p, 4359 weight class) and Yale Semnick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy comes to the cage accompanied by United States Anthem. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy throws out a leg kick but Semnick moves out of range and Hardy only half commits.

Semnick looking to score a takedown here. Hardy is defending well but Semnick drives through and ends up in Hardy's guard.
Hardy throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Semnick postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Hardy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Semnick 's waist but Semnick gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hardy off to one side.

Semnick takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Semnick moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Hardy has worked his arm free - good work by Hardy!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Hardy wants to hold on but Semnick pushes him away.
