Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spanner looks to score with a jab to the body but Shabanov is just out of range.

Shabanov is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Shabanov throws out a counter right but Spanner avoids it with no problem.
Spanner fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Shabanov checks it well.

Spanner cracks Shabanov with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Spanner has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Shabanov to stand back up!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Spanner is stalking Shabanov. Shabanov circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Spanner, and it's lights out! Shabanov really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:12 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bleeding Spanner!
A less than humble Bleeding Spanner misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
