The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A good leg kick by Murphy.
Murphy lands with a shot to the body.
Murphy scores with a jab.
Murphy misses with an uppercut
and Navarro counters with a straight right hand.
Navarro moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Murphy lands a nice looking body shot.
Murphy fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Navarro checks it well.
Navarro misses with an uppercut.
Murphy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Navarro moves away.
It seemed like Navarro was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Navarro drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Murphy swings away with a body shot that misses

and Navarro counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Murphy!

Murphy is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Navarro is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Oh Murphy is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Navarro is trying to work for a kimura but Murphy is defending well.
Murphy controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Murphy seems to have got his legs back now.

Murphy is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Navarro is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Murphy sees it coming and defends easily.

Navarro has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Murphy defend it? Navarro steps over the head and cranks it - Murphy is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Navarro!

In his post fight interview, Gideon Navarro started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
