Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Lucan (ranked 2926 p4p, 2718 weight class) and Holden Gracie (ranked 397 p4p, 369 weight class). Edwin Lucan could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Holden Gracie's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Edwin Lucan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Holden Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Gracie breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Lucan walks into a jab.
Lucan avoids the head kick by Gracie.
Gracie tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lucan was well out of range. Poor timing from Gracie.
Lucan looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A jab from Gracie finds it's way through Lucan's defenses.
Gracie forces Lucan back against the cage and clinches.
Gracie misses with a short punch on the inside.
Gracie prevents the takedown attempt.
Gracie lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Lucan can't break the clinch.
Lucan has had enough of the clinch but Gracie keeps him there for the moment.

Lucan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gracie utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Lucan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Gracie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gracie, not yet.
Gracie controls Lucan momentarily but Lucan frees himself.
Lucan throws a big right hand that misses.
Gracie wants to sweep here but Lucan controlling him for the moment.
Lucan with a flurry of punches that miss.
Lucan has gone for a leg lock! Gracie slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lucan's guard.
Lucan wants to control but Gracie passes easily into half guard.

Lucan is controlling Gracie's trapped leg to prevent Gracie from advancing to side control.
Lucan is looking to improve his position.
Lucan is working hard here to advance position.
Gracie content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Lucan trying to hold on to Gracie's head to control him but Gracie postures up.
Lucan is trying to get back to full guard.
Gracie seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Lucan does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Lucan throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Lucan has his feet on Gracie's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Gracie circles away from the clinch attempt.
Lucan needs to keep his hands up - Gracie had a free shot at his head there.
Gracie throws a head kick but Lucan moves out of range.
Lucan lands a body shot.
Lucan darts in and clinches Gracie up against the cage.

Lucan blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Lucan is looking to break free of the clinch but Gracie has double underhooks.
Lucan's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lucan drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gracie pulls his leg out and moves away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lucan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Lucan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lucan fails with an attempt to clinch.
A little jabbing left from Gracie on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Lucan has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Gracie finds it's way round the side to connect with Lucan's head.
Gracie moves out of range of the body kick.
Lucan swings for the body but Gracie moves out of range.
Edwin Lucan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie drops Lucan with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Lucan! Gracie dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Holden Gracie!
