Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brian Dean (ranked 1263 p4p, 3508 weight class) and Tigran Minasian (ranked 171 p4p, 419 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Dean! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tigran Minasian! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Minasian shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Dean misses with a straight right. Dean throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tigran Minasian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Minasian feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Minasian seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Minasian working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Minasian stands and throws Dean's legs to the side, diving into side control. Dean being controlled for a moment. Dean definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Minasian tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Minasian has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Minasian tries to advance to mount but can't. Minasian controls the position from side control. Dean wants to get back to his feet but Minasian drags him back down. Dean trying to remain calm as Minasian controls from the top position. Dean is trying to get back to his feet. Minasian slows the pace down. Minasian swings around for an armbar but Dean sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Minasian's guard.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Minasian works his way into side control. Minasian moves into full mount! Minasian goes for an armbar but Dean turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Dean. Dean tries to stand but Minasian is controlling from the bottom. Dean wants to stand and escape but instead Minasian has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Minasian is stalling in the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Minasian passes into half guard. Minasian is taking a breather. Dean says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Minasian trying to pass the guard but Dean defending well. Minasian with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Minasian wants to free his trapped foot but Dean is holding on for dear life with his legs. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Dean tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Minasian was well out of range. Poor timing from Dean. Minasian is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Dean scores with a jab to the head.

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Dean tries to get out of the position. Dean is looking to stand up but Minasian isn't so interested in that idea. Dean knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Minasian on the ground. Dean pushes Minasian off looking to stand but Minasian dives back in and keeps control.
Minasian looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Minasian uses his free foot to push down on Dean's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dean.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Minasian controlling from mount. You get the feeling that Dean really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Minasian looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Minasian looking to control and managing it successfully.

So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards. Dean displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Minasian. Minasian shoots in for a double leg but Dean sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. The fighters circle momentarily. Dean darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Minasian gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Minasian takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Tigran Minasian is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Minasian misses with a takedown and Dean cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Minasian takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Minasian is trying hard to land a takedown here. Dean sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Dean connects with a jab. Dean throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Minasian is rocked! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dean flashes Minasian a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Minasian's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Minasian crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Dean punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
