Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chito Jacare Salazar !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luis Sanchez!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salazar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Sanchez sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
And Sanchez tries to counter it with a takedown but Salazar pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Salazar shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Salazar was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Salazar is staying tight to Sanchez's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Salazar misses with the ground and pound.

You can see the frustration on Sanchez's face as Salazar controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The ground and pound from Salazar seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Sanchez can do anything to dispel that myth.

Salazar has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Sanchez is rocked!
Oooooh, big shot lands for Salazar ! Sanchez is hurt baaadly! Salazar is firing away with more strikes - Sanchez is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
