McGee comes to the cage accompanied by Survivor - Eye of the Tiger. Pokorney has chosen Never Gonna Give You Up as his entrance music. Mitch McGee has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mitch McGee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jacob Pokorney!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Dean Styles and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGee moves into the clinch.

McGee manages to pull guard.
McGee really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pokorney wanted to stand there but McGee had control of the position.
Pokorney is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
McGee throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Pokorney's corner is telling him to maintain position.
McGee strikes from his own guard.
Pokorney postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pokorney looking to pass the guard.
Pokorney showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
McGee has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

McGee trying to keep a closed guard but Pokorney is proving a slippery customer.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

McGee clinches up against the cage.

McGee's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pokorney darts in looking for a takedown but McGee gets double underhooks and turns Pokorney into the cage.
Pokorney throws a head kick that misses

and McGee counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by McGee.

McGee pulls guard successfully.
Pokorney works a leg free and moves into half guard.
McGee is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Pokorney jumps into side control!
McGee is looking for a sweep.
Pokorney tries to stand but McGee is controlling his head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pokorney wants to lay and pray for a moment but McGee keeps working.
Pokorney working the head and body with strikes.
McGee is not content to let Pokorney control the position.
McGee looking for a sweep but Pokorney has passed into full mount! Oh no!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
McGee working to try and regain half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pokorney working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.

Pokorney looking for a guillotine from mount but McGee is having none of it.
McGee tries to reverse the position but Pokorney maintains control.
Pokorney postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. McGee looks a forlorn figure.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pokorney lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Pokorney avoids the attempt from McGee to control.
Pokorney dominating with strikes here.
Pokorney trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Pokorney working for a guillotine from mount but McGee is in no mood to give up.
Pokorney scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish McGee?
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
McGee tries to improve his position but instead Pokorney has taken his back!

Pokorney is working for the choke. It looks like he might have got it... has he...? Yes! McGee is tapping out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jacob Pokorney!
Jacob Pokorney decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
