This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the bantamweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 7 losses; Sacha Gardet! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 36 wins and 35 losses; Tobias Pancake! The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Jorge Garcia.
The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Gardet instigates a clinch. Gardet pulls guard. Gardet working a defensive guard here.
Gardet bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pancake's guard. Pancake keeping moving, preventing Gardet from controlling successfully. Pancake is looking for a triangle but Gardet pushes his legs off easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gardet preventing the sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gardet trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
