This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 8 losses; Koryu Miyagi! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Miyagi drives through with a takedown into Boshtok's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. We've been hearing good reports from Boshtok's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Boshtok seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Well,Boshtok is on his way to losing a decision here. That's thirteen minutes gone in the round. Boshtok wants to control from the top but Miyagi keeps moving. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Boshtok slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Miyagi trying to control the position here. Miyagi looking to hit a scissor sweep but Boshtok is one step ahead there. Miyagi has control of Boshtok's left arm, preventing Boshtok from doing any damage. Miyagi looking for a sweep. Not yet Miyagi, not yet.

Miyagi pulls Boshtok in close to his closed guard and prevents Boshtok from doing any damage or advancing position. Boshtok controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Miyagi is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Miyagi is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Boshtok passes into half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Boshtok is looking to advance position but Miyagi won't allow it. Miyagi wants to control but Boshtok is keeping busy.
And that's the end of the fight! As we have tied on points and both fighters attempted the same number of subs, we will decide the bout based on the toss of a coin! Boshtok is heads and Miyagi is tails. The coin is in the air and it lands... heads! Boshtok takes the fight on points by 3 to 2. Yuri Boshtok thanked the fans post fight for their support.
